David Hefty is the CEO and co-founder of Hefty Wealth Partners. David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
David leads Hefty Wealth Partners, providing vision and direction to an experienced team of advisors seeking to provide exceptional service and delivery of their Legacy for Life® holistic planning services and Advance & Protect investment management strategy.
In 2010, David was named among the region’s top young business and civic leaders in the Fort Wayne Business Weekly 40 Under 40. The annual program recognizes leaders shaping the future of business in the region.
David appears regularly as a guest on both CNBC and Fox Business News. He is frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Associated Press, Forbes, Yahoo Finance along with many other financial publications and media resources.
In June 2010, David was featured on Forbes.com as one of Wall Street’s 10 most prominent bears for his views on both the domestic and global markets in the article: Wall’s Street’s Biggest Bears.
David graduated summa cum laude from Purdue University where he was recognized as The Outstanding Senior Man at Purdue as the recipient of the G.A. Ross Award recognizing his leadership, academics and community service. In 2011, David was a recipient of Purdue University’s 2011 Apex Award along with his wife, Stacy. The Apex Awards are issued by the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University to those who have made significant contributions in their field and to their communities.
David serves on a number of not for profit boards and committees for organizations he is passionate about. He sits on the board of directors for the Fort Wayne Estate Planning Council, St. Martin’s Healthcare, and the North East Scholarship Granting Organization. He is also very involved with Immaculate Conception Church and the Directors Circle for the Indiana Counsel for Economic Education. He is a past president of Junior Achievement and member of the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo Donor Development Committee.
When David is not at the office, responding to media inquiries, or giving back to the community, he can often be found heading down to the family’s barn with wife Stacy and their four children to check on and spend time with their animals. He is also a red wine aficionado and enjoys a good Cabernet Sauvignon with family and friends.
